Online Lessons

Would you like to learn to play violin or viola, but don't have a suitable teacher close by?  Are you trying to learn to play from books and YouTube videos, and could use some personal help? Then online lessons may be perfect for you.

All you need is a fast internet connection (broadband), a good quality webcam, and the program Zoom or Skype.

Lessons can be carried out in your own home, at a convenient time, and from around the world. 

The pros of online lessons include:

1. Larger range of available teachers (if teachers in your area are scarce).
2. No commuting time to and from lessons.
3. Record your lessons to review later - using software such as SuperTinTin (however this is not free to download).
4. Warm up can be carried out right up to lesson time.
5. If you have recently been ill (and are possibly still contagious), you can still have your lesson.
6. Ability to immediately practise what you have learned after your lesson, while it is still fresh in your mind. 
7. If several siblings are having lessons, the other children can do what they like instead of waiting.
